I Had Your Baby...Why Don't You Love Me Yet???

"First comes love, Then comes marriage, Now comes the baby carriage"

I'm sure you know, have met or even heard of ladies that have this perception. You know the woman whom thinks or may have thought that having a man's child will make him stay with her, love her, stop cheating or do a total 360! I'm not sure why or what it is that makes a woman think that by them having a mans child, that man will change just because a child is now involved. I mean, there are woman going through things like the cheating, not feeling loved or appreciated already without a child, but actually want to have a child thinking the man will then have this new profound love for her because she's now not just his girlfriend but also his "baby-mova" as we say (in my D.C. voice)!

Okay, let's first start with saying there's so much wrong with this!! If a man isn't treating you as he should BEFORE any children, what makes you think he'll change JUST because of a child? I know as women we naturally have that nurturing spirit and we expect the same in return. But, what women need to realize is, a man is going to do what he wants whether a child is involved or not!

**Disclaimer** I am not saying in no shape or form that just because a man doesn't love the mother of his child or children, also means that he wont love his child or children. No, not all all!! There are plenty of great fathers doing a great job that aren't with the mother of that child. What I'm saying is... what makes a woman want to have a man's baby in hopes that the man will love them more? I think that's a huge problem which shows a grey area on what their perception of love is!! You should never have to force one to love you. Having a man's baby means just that. You're simply having a baby! When having a baby, you want that to be one of, if not thee most beautiful experience ever!! You should want your man to love you, be in love with you and want you to have his children.

Women in a relationship that feel they have to secretly or purposely get pregnant so they can be loved by that man, or may think that a baby will keep that man....please believe are digging themselves a bigger disaster than expected, which will cause them more pain than needed. Yes, he may end up being a great father to that child, but what about your ultimate goal from the beginning...to get him to stay and love you? Have children out of love. Not hopeless romance! When the love is mutual, you'll get everything you want and more. When it's one sided and forced, you're bad days will more than likely outweigh your good and that ain't hot!! You will end up trapping no one but YOU! Of course no mother looks at their child as a trap on their life, children are blessings! But once you have a child, there's no turning back and there's no guarantee that man will be that great father which will leave you, the mother to do it all. Bringing a child into the world should be a loving journey for all involved from mom, dad, and child!

We don't live in a perfect world neither is anyone on earth perfect. However, I do feel as a woman, we want or shall I say yearn for that four letter word (L-O-V-E) so much, that we make conscious decisions in life to bandage up reality for what we WANT our reality to be, which in the end you actually will have settled for the other four letter word
(L-U-S-T)!! When all we have to do is put ourselves first, that way once you show that you respect yourself, he'll know there's something to respect. Like they say..."It's a man's job to respect a woman, but it's a woman's job to give him something to respect"!!! Meaning if you constantly accept the BS because you want this relationship so bad, you start to doubt yourself being enough so you start to think what can I do keep him? Maybe I should get pregnant....maybe he'll love me right if I have his baby... maybe he'll show me the respect I deserve as his child's mother. Well, my question is why are you all of a sudden worthy of love, monogamy and respect as his child's mother? You dont think you were worthy of that as his girlfriend? You have to think more of YOU! You have to want more for YOU! You have to value YOU! Having a baby is the easy part.....master the hard part first-----> capturing his heart!

What's your take? Do you think it's okay to have that mentality? Let's talk...let me know what you think!

Until next time and as always...Thanks for checking out my blog: TwithTally!!

Super Simple DIY Beauty Tips...

Now I don't know about you guys, but I LOVE a good "DIY" tip! These beauty tips/advice were great and thought I'd share with you guys!

Winter is still about a month away but, that cold, dry weather has already rolled in and that can be harsh on you from head to toe!  Not only does dry skin look unhealthy, it can be really uncomfortable too. Many lotions on the market are said to heal your dry skin but they contain lots of "mystery" ingredients such as hidden animal ingredients. So, instead of spending your hard earned money on mystery products, why not try and make your own?

As you know, Health and Beauty is very important and can be quite costly at times depending on the product, especially when trying to build a regimen. The benefits of making your own beauty products are: You're not only saving a heap of money but you also have complete control over the ingredients, meaning you know exactly what you’re putting onto your skin and what's getting absorbed into your pores.  Looks like you have a win-win here...saving money and knowing that the ingredients your body's absorbing are 100% safe!! So, why not take advantage of these great "DIY" inexpensive beauty tips!

Let's start off with DIY Skin Care:

  1. For smooth skin, crush four uncoated aspirins and mix 1 cup distilled water and 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar. Use this 2-3 times a day for incredibly smooth skin and as an alternative to washing your face in the morning.
  2. Once a week, use a natural honey face mask for softer skin and cleansed pores. Honey is a natural anti-bacterial and the best type to use is a raw honey, which usually has a sugary texture and doesn't drip like processed honey. You can find raw honey at Whole Foods.
  3. If you have sensitive acne-prone skin, stay away from rich spicy foods, which only irritate and inflame your system which will cause a nasty reaction...a break out.
  4. Sleep-Staying up too late or not getting enough sleep is basically going to war with your skin, causing it to look dull, tired, and likely leading to breakouts.
  5. Homemade Sugar Scrub- A sugar scrub is perfect to exfoliate and adds moisture to those dry knees and elbows, and it’s easy as pie to whip up your very own custom scented scrub! Just combine two parts sugar with one part olive or coconut oil along with 20-30 drops of your favorite essential oils combination. For winter, you might go with soothing scents like lavender, vanilla etc. Another great DIY body scrub is a simple mixture of pure olive oil with 1/2 parts sea salt as an in shower body scrub. This DIY scrub totally eliminates the need for lotion and is excellent for the winter months.
  6. 100% Olive Oil- No, olive oil isn't just for  your salads, but it’s also a great moisturizer for winter skin. To moisturize your skin, put a few drops of olive oil on when you get out of the shower and massage it in. To give an extra moisture boost to dry hands and feet, put gloves and socks on after you rub in the oil to help your skin absorb it.
  7. Tomato Face Scrub- Exfoliate your face and give it a healthy glow with an all natural tomato scrub! This is one of the simplest beauty recipes ever: slice a tomato in half, cover in sugar or salt, then use the piece of tomato as a scrubber to gently exfoliate your face.
  8. Pumpkin Foot Scrub- Pumpkins are just about in season, so this is the perfect time of year to treat your feet with a pumpkin food scrub! Organic Authority has a recipe that combines cooked pumpkin, brown sugar, coffee beans, olive oil, and lemon to make a moisturizing and invigorating scrub to soothe your winter tootsies. Smells awesome too!
  9. Soft Winter Hands- For many of us, our hands cant bear the cold, harsh weather. You can revitalize dry hands with a simple winter mixture that even helps if you suffer from eczema during these chilly months. A rich combination of Shea butter, avocado oil, and vitamin E, this mixture is sure to heal your hands this winter!

Next is DIY Hair Care:

  1. For All Hair Types- A raw egg isn't just for eating! The yolk, rich in fats and proteins, is naturally moisturizing, while the white, which contains bacteria-eating enzymes, removes unwanted oils. To Use: For normal hair, use the entire egg to condition hair; use egg whites only to treat oily hair; use egg yolks only to moisturize dry, brittle hair. Use 1/2 cup of whichever egg mixture is appropriate for you and apply to clean, damp hair. If there isn’t enough egg to coat scalp and hair, use more as needed. Leave on for 20 minutes, rinse with cool water (to prevent egg from “cooking”) and shampoo hair. Whole egg and yolks-only treatments can be applied once a month; whites-only treatment can be applied every two weeks.
  2. For Dull Hair- Styling products (as well as air pollution) can leave a film that both pulls out moisture and dulls shine—but dairy products like sour cream and plain yogurt can help reverse this damage. To Use: Massage 1/2 cup sour cream or plain yogurt into damp hair and let sit for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water, followed by cool water, then shampoo hair as you normally would. Treatment can be applied every other week.
  3. For Itchy Scalp-To fight flakes, brought on by poor diet, stress and climate, among other factors—try a lemon juice and olive oil mixture in your hair. The acidity in lemon juice helps rid your scalp of any loose, dry flakes of skin, while the olive oil moisturizes the newly exposed skin on your head. To Use: Mix 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice, 2 Tbsp olive oil and 2 Tbsp water, and massage into damp scalp. Let mixture sit for 20 minutes, then rinse and shampoo hair. Treatment can be applied every other week.
  4. For Limp or Fine Hair- To add body to hair, reach for an unlikely beauty beverage: beer! The fermented drink contains generous supplies of yeast, which works to plump those tired tresses. To Use: Mix 1/2 cup flat beer (pour beer into a container and let it sit out for a couple of hours to deplete carbonation) with 1 tsp light oil (sunflower or canola) and a raw egg. Apply to clean, damp hair, let sit for 15 minutes, then rinse with cool water. Or add flat beer only to a spray bottle and spritz onto dry hair. When the liquid evaporates, the remaining protein residue (from the wheat, malt or hops) continues to strengthen and structure hair. Treatments can be applied every other week.
  5. For Dry or Heat Damaged Hair- So many different factors can contribute to heat damage. Whether it be hard water, sun overexposure, your trusty flat iron etc. —nature's sweetener can help: Honey! Honey is a natural humectant, which means it attracts and locks in moisture. To Use: Massage approximately 1/2 cup honey into clean, damp hair, let sit for 20 minutes, then rinse with warm water. You can also add 1 to 2 Tbsp olive oil to loosen the honey for easier application. For extremely damaged hair, try mixing honey with 1 to 2 Tbsp of a protein-rich ingredient, like avocado or egg yolk, which will help replenish the keratin protein bonds that heat rays attack. Treatment can be applied once a month.
  6. For Oily Hair- Used properly, cornmeal or cornstarch is an inexpensive way to remove oil and grease. To Use: Pour 1 Tbsp cornmeal or cornstarch into an empty salt or pepper shaker and sprinkle onto dry hair and scalp until you’ve used it all. After 10 minutes, use a paddle hairbrush to completely brush it out. Treatment can be applied every other day.
  7. For Frizzy Hair- Home beauty experts swear by avocado—and not just to repair damaged hair. Its oils (which are light and moist like our own natural skin secretions) and proteins boast the best combination of nutrients for smoothing and weighing down unruly hair. To Use: Mash up half an avocado and massage into clean, damp hair. Let sit for 15 minutes before rinsing with water. Amp up moisturizing by combining mashed avocado with 1 to 2 Tbsp of a hydrating ingredient, like sour cream, egg yolks or mayonnaise. Another way to avoid frizz is to wash your hair with cool water. Cool water helps to seal the hair follicles. Treatment can be applied every two weeks.

Hope you found these Health and Beauty tips helpful. With winter quickly approaching, I'll definitely be doing these tips! What about you?

Natural Aphrodisiacs Known To Improve Your Sex Life...

It's Wednesday guys so you know what that means...."Hump Day" Talk!!

You guys know when we do "Hump Day" talk, I'm simply giving advice/tips on how to possibly improve your sex life and/or just new tips that you can try out or share with others! Today I thought it'd be cool to explore the natural aphrodisiacs our bodies supposedly have a positive sexual reaction to.

Most of us want to be great at anything we do right? Does that include sex also? If you're sexually active within your relationship, I'm sure you always want to be on your A-game from your sexual arousal to your sexual performance and aphrodisiacs are known to help awaken your sexual desire which will then increase your sex...so they say!

Over time, studies show that men and women have tried almost anything that was called an aphrodisiac, no matter how unappetizing or bizarre because there's always a constant search for better sex! The more extreme aphrodisiacs that I wouldn't dare try (lol) are eels, elephant tusk, lion blood, bull testicles, rhino horn, ram penis, & pig genitals. Now I don't know about you guys but I'm just not that curious-lol! Plus, where in the world do you find those things??

OK, back to the well known, not so weird and more commonly used aphrodisiacs!

Here's just a small list:

Oysters- Contain zinc which is an essential mineral for men needed for sperm production. Oysters are also known to release testosterone in women.

Shrimp- High in iodine which is needed by the thyroid gland that regulates energy including sexual energy.

Chocolate- Includes caffeine and a plant substance called phytosteral that mimics human sex hormones.

Pineapples- Actually anything citrus based can help. If you consume pineapple or even drink a glass of orange juice about 6-8 hours before sexual activity, you will actually smell and taste slightly sweeter than usual which is a win win for you and your partner :)!!

While these natural aphrodisiacs wont work for everyone, they're all cheap, easy and fun ways to experiment! Try one or try all...It cant hurt to try right?

He Doesn't Treat Me Good...But His Coin Does!!??!!??

A lot of women and men actually, will know at least one person this post applies to.."He Doesn't Treat Me Good... But His Coin Does!!"

What do you think? Is it okay to stay with someone because you like the way their pockets look despite how you're being treated? Is it okay to accept emotional and/or physical hurt because you can make a hefty purchase afterwards?

Sadly, this happens more than often. Some women I think get so wrapped up with "the life" of luxury that they loose focus on the fact that it should be about how a man treats you and not what a man can do for you! I'm sure I'm not the only one that has heard the stories of a women accepting almost anything from a man because he has money. Anything from blatant cheating, to emotional and/or physical abuse, disrespect, embarrassment etc. Some woman have a mentality of  "If I'm going to be dealing with this bulls***, then at least its from a man with money cause a broke man will put me through the same thing"! Then you have the woman that's afraid to loose the ability to get what she wants when she wants so she stays! Oh, and lets not forget that women who thinks her "love clock" is ticking and is afraid she wont find anyone else. There are so many variations of different women and their reasons as to why they stay through it all for a pretty coin!

As a woman, I really don't get this concept!!! A man broke or rich can mistreat you, that's obvious. But, I believe it's what you allow that determines what you will receive. If you allow the cheating, the disrespect, the abuse mental and/or physical pain you endure, you will ALWAYS go through it! A man or woman will only do what you allow them space to do.  STOP belittling yourself! STOP doubting yourself! STOP putting yourself through more pain then you have to! If a man wants to do anything for you, trust me, he will! But, why wait for a man to do for you? Have your own money and show him you can do for yourself (that's actually a turn on for some men). Not that you cant accept gifts, of course you can...don't be silly!! But, your focus should be on how he treats you first! Not only that, if you do for yourself then you wont look for a man to do what you can do! You've heard the phrase " I can finance myself...I need Loyalty" right? That's what a woman should be looking for in a man... love and loyalty!! When you have both love and loyalty, he'll buy you the world! When you accept monetary gifts and/or gifts in exchange for the pain they've cause you....you've let him know that his behavior is not only acceptable but also that he can repeat his actions as long as he buys you something nice!

I believe there is somebody for everybody. Everything doesn't happen when we want, but be patient. There's a good man willing to love you, treat you like a queen, spoil you with not only gifts but an abundance of love also!  If you remember to love yourself first and foremost, be open and honest about what you're looking for and what you will not accept, show him you're a woman and that you wont accept anything less than to be treated as one at all times, then you will get just what you show you want! Notice I said show what you want instead of saying what you want!! Talk is cheap! But most importantly...remember you don't have to be unhappy and/or settle because you want a man with money or a man period! After all, if you're settling you're ultimately robbing yourself of happiness you deserve!

Your Past Does NOT Predict Your Future...

This is another segment of "Thankful Thursday's"!!

In honor of the 49er's recent win this past Sunday, this feature is dedicated to the 49er linebacker #52, Patrick Willis!

As the title reads "Your Past Does NOT Predict Your Future"...Patrick Willis is a living example of just that. This story, based on the life of Patrick Willis, was a special that ESPN E60 did 3 yrs ago. I saw it then and it still has the same emotional affect over me today.

Patrick Willis is a prime example that you don't have to let the hurts or setbacks you may have once faced in life hold you back from progressing. His determination and focus got him where he is today despite the pain he's endured. As you watch this video, you will see his drive to not let his past determine his future, his ambition to succeed, his love for his family and most importantly his humbleness! Even though he's "made it" in life with all the glitz, glam and success, he remains thankful and this is why I'm dedicating *Thankful Thursday's* to one of the BEST linebacker's in the NFL today....Mr. Patrick Willis!!

Please watch his awesome story below:

If having problems viewing this video here's the link: http://youtu.be/XvZqyoWcGrc

Hope you guys enjoyed this heartfelt story as much as I did!

Can Sex Toys Help or Hurt Your Relationship?

As we've said before with MOST relationships, at times the sex can become "commonplace" so to speak which is ultimately boring! Many have turned to sex toys as an option to spice things up and I say go for it!

Sex is simply a form of intamacy we crave. Sex can also be a stress reliever due to the hormones that are released during sexual intercourse that calm the body and every muscle in your body.

For me, there is NO shame in having a healthy sex life and adding sex toys in the mix is a sure way to help! If you aren't a person against toys, try one. Once you find a sex toy that works for you...you'll be hooked!! Not only will you be hooked by the way it makes you feel but also by the intensed, heightened pleasure that you and your partner will receive.

Take a look at just a few sex toys big on the market today:

Tickle Surprise- It's just what it says!!

Rabbit-style vibes have everything: there's a shaft for penetration, which contains rotating balls for G-spot stimulation, and the bunny-ear attachment vibrates against your clitoris (or turn it 180 degree to vibrate against your perineum while you manually stroke your clitoris). This one is waterproof and has three speed variations; start on the lowest and work your way up for a knee-trembler!

Done rabbiting? Try rocking instead. This U-shaped vibe is inserted so the hooked end presses into your G-spot while the external leg vibrates against your clitoris (like having a man's finger inside you and his thumb against your clit). Loaded with the RO 80mm bullet vibe, it's powerful, the medical-grade hypo-allergenic silicone feels sensual and it's waterproof (handy for G-spot orgasms!).

For a tiny vibe, this punches above its weight, administering acute vibrations at a twist of the tube. Great for partner sex (no man could be intimidated by a little girly lipstick, right?), and you can take it anywhere - and, more importantly, accidentally drop it without anyone pointing and laughing. Just make sure friends don't attempt to borrow your ‘lipstick' when you're not there.

Sex toys can unlock a secret world full of passion and unending ecstasy!! Pleasure your partner's inner curiosity, every need and desire with a little help from a sex toy! Don't knock it 'til you try it!

Oh...and comment! Leave your thoughts or experience's ...don't be scurred-lol!

Until next time and as always...Thanks for checking out my blog: TwithTally!

Remembering 9/11...

9/11 has left a mark on each and every one of us. No matter your religion, race or belief...this was and still is a very painful memory. Parents lost children, children lost parents and many families and friends will forever be affected by that tragic day 12 years ago.

9/11 should serve as a reminder for us to tell our loved ones, family or friends I love you a little more, give hugs often, hold little to no grudges and most importantly never take a day for granted!!

You can move on ...but you will never forget! And for that, I pray for the families of the lost victims. May God bless their souls!

Support PCOS Awareness!!!!

September is Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) awareness month! A lot of women are familiar with PCOS but there are also a lot of women who aren't! If you are one of those women who aren't, please read below.

(PCOS) is a health disorder that often affects a woman’s ability to ovulate and conceive. Somewhere around one in ten women of reproductive age have been diagnosed as having PCOS in the U.S.. Some young women will receive this diagnosis during their teenage years but many women will not realize that they in fact have this disorder until they try to get pregnant, and can’t. While the cause of PCOS has not as yet been identified, several factors do seem to play a role, including family history, ethnic origin and genetics.

PCOS is technically a hormonal imbalance, embarked by any two of the following three characteristics: overproduction of androgen's (male hormones); irregular menstrual cycles; and an ultrasound demonstrating polycystic appearing ovaries. While women have some level of male hormone in their systems, many women with PCOS produce an overabundance of them.

The overabundance of male hormone is thought to create many of the symptoms associated with PCOS. While symptoms vary from woman to woman they often include:

  • Few or no menstrual cycles
  • Heavy bleeding during menstruation and/or very long periods of light bleeding during menstruation
  • Multiple cysts on ovaries, as seen on an ultrasound
  • Hirsutism
  • Male pattern baldness or thinning hair
  • Acne and oily skin
  • Overweight, or trouble controlling weight
  • Upper body obesity, with weight unevenly distributed around the abdomen
  • Skin tags or boils
  • Depression or mood swings
  • Repeat miscarriage, or pregnancy loss
  • Infertility
  • High blood pressure and/or high cholesterol, particularly in women who are overweight
  • Sleep apnea
  • Regular menstrual periods without simultaneous ovulation

Many women find that altering their diet and exercise habits can be highly effective in the management of PCOS. Dietary changes that may help include:

Optimize Your Eating Plan
  • Remove white flour products and other high glycemic foods from your diet
  • Choose healthy carbohydrates like fruits and vegetables that are low glycemic
  • Eat a protein with each meal to slow down the glucose response in the blood
  • Completely eliminate ALL types of sugar from your diet. Read labels and learn to recognize all of sugar's names i.e... corn syrup, dextrose, fructose, maltodextrin, maltose, rice syrup, sucrose, treacle, and turbinado
  • Optimize a supplementation program that includes vitamins, minerals and herbs such as cinnamon. This information must be shared with your physician, if you will be concurrently pursuing infertility treatment.
Create a Balanced Exercise Program
  • Cardiovascular training that works the large muscles of the body, making the heart and lungs stronger, and supporting weight loss
  • Weight training or other forms of resistance exercise, such as body bands

For many women these lifestyle changes will prove to be highly effective not only while conception is being attempted, but for life.

PCOS, like every other diagnosis of infertility, is affected by the never ending tick of the biological clock. For women who wish to conceive sooner rather than later, in particular for those over the age of thirty, the combination of adherence to a healthy lifestyle centered upon low carbohydrate intake and exercise, coupled with the support of assisted reproductive technology, can be highly effective. If you decide to implement the addition of herbs into your diet, you should inform your physician prior to beginning treatment, or taking any medications. Be smart, be proactive, and be healthy. For women with PCOS, this can translate into becoming a mommy.

I hope this article was informative and helpful! I personally do not know of anyone suffering from PCOS but thought I'd educate myself for my health and to possibly help others! So educate yourself, your family and your friends about PCOS....your knowledge just may help someone!

How About Them Niners?!?!?!!!

What a way to start off the season!!! If you didn't watch last night's game...you missed out on a good one! We all love to see our teams win but it makes it even better when the opposing team is playing just as hard because it makes the game that more interesting! If you missed the game I'll fill you in a bit! The San Francisco 49ers played the Green Bay Packers at San Fran! With two great quarterbacks up against each other, the game could go either way!

Both teams came to do business!!! Kaepernick (the quarterback for San Fran) came out like he had a point to prove and boy oh boy did he prove it!! Rogers (the quarterback for Green Bay) came out and didn't really miss a beat either which is why is was such a great game!! Neither team gave up! Every time Green Bay would score....came San Fran with a score for the board as well! The Washington, DC native #85 Vernon Davis, tight end for the 49er's scored two touchdowns, Wide receiver #81 Anquan Boldin scored one touchdown & last but not least...running back #21 Frank Gore also scored a touchdown. The final score was 34-28 San Fran! Go Niners!!!

Me reppin for my Niner's!!

Yes sir!!! Kaepernick got it done!!!

I'm looking forward to next week's game against the Seattle Sea Hawks but I must admit that's a little nerve wrecking being as though the Sea Hawks don't loose at home! Yikes!! But, I believe in Kaepernick....do you?

Are You Ready For Some Football???

Football season is BACK!!! Tonight is the opening kick off game for the regular season (happy dancing)!! Can you tell I'm excited? Lol! I've ALWAYS been a fan of the sports football and basketball but it's gotten more intense since meeting my husband! When I was single I guess you can say i was just watching the game without really understanding all of the plays. But now of course I'm much more advanced because of him! Now, I'm totally involved! I'm on the edge of my seat just as much as he is! I just love everything about football from the way the players look in their uniforms (yes gawd) to the players making a touchdown!

I guess you know which team we are fans of from the above picture!!! Yes...49er nation baby!! They had a pretty good season last year and we think this year will be just good if not better than the last! There's been a lot of talk about the 49er's and it seems we are the favorite in the sports community to go to the super bowl for the second straight year which would be awesome!!! We shall see!!!

Now, I know what you're thinking....why not root for the home team the Redskins right? Well, as I said they are the home team so we do root for them from a distance to do well UNLESS they are playing our 49er's (lol) which will be Monday night November 25th and yes we will be in attendance!

If you're as excited as I am, then I'm sure you'll be watching tonight's game with the Super bowl champs the Baltimore Ravens vs the Denver Broncos at Denver! Who are you rooting for?

Time for me to log off and get the "game food" ready!!!!

Until next time and as always...Thanks for checking out my blog: TwithTally!

New Friends Or Not ????

So, we've all heard the saying "No new Friends" by now right? Well if you haven't, the saying started from a song by the artist "Drake" and became a cliche saying. I've seen t-shirts made with the saying, people are using it as a hash-tag quote under pictures etc.

Now, in my opinion...for the purpose of the song it's cool but to apply it to your life not so cool.  I say that because I don't understand the big deal when it comes to making new friends? Meeting new people helps you evolve and may even open your eyes up to some things you may not have known before. Meeting new friends doesn't mean you're no longer loyal to your old friends at all. It's simply called growing!! Now depending on the person, you may experience that friend or friends that think of you as being "brand new" or may say you've changed because you've found a new liking in another person that has now grown to be your friend. If that happens, that is their problem and insecurity not yours! Don't ever allow someone else's view of another person steer you from getting your own perception of them. You have to remember in life it's your journey not anyone else's!!

Another thing about friends or so called friends shall I say...If your friend doesn't care for a person you have no problem with, again....that's their problem not yours! Your friend is telling you their version of what may have taken place why they don't care for that person and remember there's always three sides to one story, your friends side, the other person's side and the truth! Being loyal to that friendship does not mean you have to like and dislike ONLY the people they like and dislike! If you go off of someone else's perception or experience with a particular person, you may just be blocking your blessing!! As adults you have to make adult decisions and you do that simply by making your own! If your friend chooses to no longer be your friend because you have become friends with someone they don't care for, guess what? They were never your friend in the first place! I can only speak for myself but I can truly say that my new friends have been nothing but blessings to my life! Had I not met them I wouldn't have been exposed to different cultures, business ventures, new appreciations of life etc! If you surround yourself with the dreamers and doers, the believers, the positive thinkers and most importantly those who see greatness within you even when you don't see it in yourself, life will be just fine!

As I've mentally grown and matured, I've realized that it's not important to have lots of friends but it's definitely very important to have real friends!

So instead of saying "No new friends"....how about you say...No fake friends"!!

Life is about learning, loving, exploring and living so do just that and welcome new friends!!

Top 10 Things That Really Irk My Nerves...

We all have those things that irk us aka pet peeves! I'm listing the top 10 but I'm sure I could name more-lol! The listing is in no particular order just a few things I could think of off the top of my head!

  1. Men w/Dirty Socks - I can NOT stand dirty socks on a man!!! Whew...that just does something to me! I can't stand to see them turned every way but the right way & I can't take old looking socks. You know lint balls or stained socks. But, I love WHITE socks! Weird right? But i do! When my husband has his socks on, it makes me feel some type of way-lol! Not sure what it is. Maybe it's the way they fit his foot and the brightness of them! Every time we are in Target (Tarje') or Wal-mart we pick up a pack because he knows how much I love ultra white bright socks! lol
  2. Dirty Kitchens - I'm sure I'm not alone with this one! If nothing irks my nerves a dirty kitchen will do it! Have you ever went over someones house and their kitchen area was just a bit disturbing?? Well, I surely have and it disgust me! I know we all may fall behind here and there on tidying up the place but come on!! Your stove should not have layers upon layers of grease! I should not be able to play "connect the dots" from stains on your floor. Your kitchen sink should not have old dishes sitting with old water in them whether you have a dish washer or not. I just think old dishes sitting are sitting in bacteria...yuck! My hubster calls me a germ-a-fob because I'm so serious when it comes to the kitchen! So serious that I don't use sponges & if I do, I have to have on gloves. I just have this thing where I think they hold bacteria! So I use the brush. Idk..guess I am a little weird huh?
  3. Poor Driving Etiquette -(SIGH) OK! Now, this is one I'm sure everyone can relate to. You don't have to have road rage to dislike poor driving. When I say poor driving etiquette I mean those drivers that jump in front of you like it was such a need to then drive 20mph!! Then you have the drivers that are trying to make a exit on the beltway so they have to hurry up and jump in front of you! Or the driver who suddenly brakes really hard and there's absolutely nothing in front of them, then you look and notice they're on a phone call!!! I mean if you cant talk and drive please don't!!! It's very dangerous! Then there's the speedy gonzales driver who speeds through traffic, in and out of lanes like they're the only one on the road! That really bothers me. I mean, have some courtesy!! Not everyone drives like they're in a Nascar race. Like my uncle says "if you wanted to get there in 2.5 seconds you should have a jet"! lol
  4. Inappropriate Undergarments - Ladies you know the women I'm talking about. You see them all the time! Especially in the summer time. Why wear a form fitted skirt or dress and your underwear lines are showing? That's what thongs are for and if you aren't a fan of thongs buy seamless panties... they do wonders! Aside from the outline of your panties showing, another annoying peeve of mine is printed undergarments!! With fabrics such as sheers or even cotton that may not be lined or dark in color, why wear prints that will show through? Me personally, I just think it looks tacky. As the saying goes "Keep It classy never trashy"! Okk :)
  5. Parenting Gone Wrong - When I say parenting gone wrong I mean those horrid videos they make with the kiddies! You know the videos...the ones with parents you see on social media sites telling the babies to cuss or telling the babies to do certain gestures like putting up their middle finger or allowing them to dance as adults. I think the worst part about it is, the parents are in the background at most times laughing!! What could possibly be funny about that? I think they tend to forget that those cute little people will eventually grow into adults and they will take everything you've taught them and apply it to their everyday life! You should want your children to be a reflection on you!
  6. Hood Rich - I guess this one isn't really a pet peeve but it does irk my nerves. It really gets me when I see women and men living beyond their means and I think it's because they don't realize it but they are falling right into what statistics say about the younger generation. These days people are so worried about impressing those that know nothing about them and couldn't care two cents about them! You know the females who will spend $1000 plus on a handbag and or designer labels but doesn't have half of that in a bank account. Or the ones that will go out and buy a designer t-shirt for $500 but cant pay a bill off that's half that price! I for one have learned over my years that priorities are BIG in life! There is NOTHING wrong with designer brands or luxury cars if your lifestyle permits it. But, your priority should be to prioritize your life like your credit score, having zero or close to little debt etc. But, the sad part is some people actually think they're better than the next because of that brand or label! Sorry for the rude awaking but...Fashion is NOT the label your wearing but how you style what you're wearing!
  7. The DMV - Now, I'm not sure if it's just my area which is Washington, DC but I absolutely dread going to the DMV. I think I can honestly say there's only been about one to two times that I've been to the DMV and have actually gotten help without attitude! I don't know why everyone that works there is so mean! I'm starting to think that has to be a qualification to be employed there! I mean, nobody greets you with a smile or pleasant demeanor. It's always with MAJOR attitude!! Then, they make everything so complicated it's very rare a one time trip. I swear you can ask anyone from the DC area and I bet they agree with this post! Sad right?
  8. Not Washing Your Hands After the Restroom - This is just gross!!! To see someone at a public restroom in a department store or restaurant etc use the restroom and NOT wash their hands annoys me to no end! It bothers me so bad, I've actually said something before! Germs are carried so many ways and one way actually the most common way is through touch i.e through our hands!! When you use the restroom without washing your hands afterwards and then proceed to eat, or touch door handles or shake someones hand....your passing along bacteria/germs!!! But if they don't care about their own hygiene, I guess they could care less about the next person's huh? Aside from being gross and a walking bacteria, I just think it's selfish to do so!
  9. Paper Cuts - These are the most annoying cuts. How can something so small hurt so bad??? I mean it stings like salt being poured into a wound! OK, maybe I exaggerated a bit but gee whiz they hurt!
  10. Dead beat parents - Last but not least is a dead beat, good for nothing parent! Mother or father because it can go wither way! It's not just men that fall short! No matter your situation your child is innocent and should not have to pay for your short comings. Money is not everything. Parenting has much more to do with how much you spend on your child. It's about companionship, stability, love, support, guidance and so much more. Your child is a part of you! When you see that child you should see yourself and everything you want to become! As a parent you have the gift to mold a person! How cool is that? No you cant control the decisions or life pattern they may choose but you play a big role in the person they will become by everything you instill in them! It's so unfortunate that children get the short end of the stick when things may go wrong in the parents relationship. You have the fathers that are upset with the women that's having their child as if they didn't play a role in that process so they chose not to partake in raising that child! Or that parent that goes and spends money on their clothes, alcohol, dates etc but cant take their kids school shopping or pay child support. A lot of times they are trying to hurt the other parent not realizing it's the child suffering! It's so unfair to that baby and that really irks my nerves!
Well those were 10 things that really irk my nerves! I'm sure some of you can relate to at least one. Let me know some of your pet peeves, I'm sure I can relate to you as well!
